December flew by and now we are in January, the year 2012! It is incredible how fast time flies in the world we are living in today! I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you a wonderful 2012. May you live in His peace as you live and function within His will for your life...
Crown has a new look! This is very exciting for us in Crown as we introduced a new logo and catch phrase as well as re-shaped our vision, mission and values:
Mission: We equip servant leaders to live by God’s design for their finances, work and life ... to advance transformation.
Core Values: Lordship - Jesus Christ is our Head. All that we do should reflect our humble submission to His leading. We will seek Him first in our personal lives and corporate decisions. Stewardship - In all decisions we make, we do so with a desire to please the Lord with our management of the resources He has entrusted to us. Generosity - We commit ourselves to foster a culture of biblical generosity, practicing generous living and gracious giving, within our spheres of influence through modeling, teaching and equipping.
I want to encourage you to be good stewards of all He so generously gives us. I believe that 2012 will be a challenging year, but for those that are faithfully living by His financial principles, I believe that it will be a great year! The first and most important step we must take to accomplish the goal of living by His financial principles is to transfer all we have and earn, to Him.
Remember that He is the OWNER of everything. We are merely stewards or managers of those things He so generously gives to us. It is He that gives us our intellect, abilities, opportunities, salaries and families. We should thus continually hand the ownership back to Him and only faithfully manage all that He gives to us. I came across the following saying, “if you love people, you will use money, but if you love money, you will use people”. This had a huge impact on me and I had to sit and evaluate my life based on this saying. I encourage you to do the same...
The Root of Riches Seminar, presented by the CEO of Crown, Chuck Bentley, will take place in Durban on the 20th and 21st of January and in Kimberley on the 31st of January 2012.
There will also be 2 events in Namibia in January. The God's Economy vs Man's Economy Mini Conference is on the 26th (Swakopmund) and the Root of Riches Seminar on the 28th (Windhoek).
